One of the greatest challenges a portrait artist faces is creating a portrait that generates emotion. A portrait painting can be so much more than a good likeness of the subject. I enjoy collaborating with my clients to create a beautiful painting capturing the warmth, love, dignity and spirit of the sitter. My portrait paintings  of  of children explore the joy of childhood and my love of children. Fine art portraiture is an enduring art form that has been practiced for thousands of years. The museums are filled with portraits that someone commissioned. This is timeless classical art that I am honored and humbled to be a part of.
